Montessori Radmoor

It is wonderful to be back in the classroom! I am so excited to see all the incredible work the children have been doing with Ms. Julie, Ms. Helen and Ms. Heather.

As October moves on, we continue to work on our maps and get familiar with the continents. Some of our older children are exploring the decimal system and the meaning of place value in large numbers, while others are practicing the four operations (+,-,×,÷) with those large numbers. Writing numbers and letters on the chalkboard and exploring letter sounds is popular with some of the younger children. We have also been enjoying some fun fall crafts and yoga breathing exercises to help us stay calm and focused.

The weather is getting colder and we’re trying to stay warm both indoors and outdoors. Please check with Ms. Helen and Ms. Heather to make sure that your child has a weather appropriate change of clothes in their extra clothes box. It might also help them to have a jacket, hat and mittens in their backpacks every day as the weather can be unpredictable some days!

I am glad many of you were able to come and observe in the classroom over the last couple of weeks. I look forward to seeing you all at parent and teacher conferences next week.

Sincerely,
Archana
