Montessori Radmoor

Many activities have going on in the classroom lately. The children have been busy polishing and painting pumpkins along with some of the Halloween puzzles,  art work  and parts of the skeleton that have been brought out this month.  Some children have been writing stories with the movable alphabet and illustrating them. The maps are very popular right now, as well.  We were lucky to have sunflower heads brought in to the environment and the children have been collecting the seeds to feed the birds outside.

Conferences are coming soon (October 29 and 30) so, please remember to sign up through Ivolunteer.  You can always contact the front office if you need assistance with this process.

With colder weather approaching, I want to remind everyone to send their child to school with warm outdoor clothing.  When the snow does fall, children will not be able to play in the snow without hats, gloves, boots and snow pants.  It’s also wonderful if you can let your child practice putting their warm weather clothes on, all by themselves.  This will help them become more independent, more confident, and allow them to get outside faster without having to wait for help.  The older children are great at helping the younger ones with tricky shoes, zippers and pretty soon snow pants!  This builds a sense of community within the envionment and the younger children love to learn from the older children.

Sincerely,

Rachel
