Montessori Radmoor

Hello and welcome to our T1 classroom. Cheryl and Chandrani are my assistants. For those returning, welcome back I can’t wait to see how much the children have grown and learned over the summer. For those of you who are new to the classroom I’m so excited to get to know your children. Here’s a little information about me. My name is Kristy Drachman. I’m starting my eleventh year here at Radmoor. I started out as an assistant in the T2 classroom, and now, have been teaching in my own classroom for five years. I have a bachelor’s degree in community development with areas of concentration in community services. I also have an associate degree in child development. I just finished my AMI certification in Denver over the summer and I can’t wait to use newly made materials in my classroom.

We will have children starting throughout September so please remember parents will be in the room for phase-in schedules. Sometimes, children will hesitate at the door and not want to come in. We always get through these transitions. Just remember to smile and cheerfully say goodbye to your child. Montessori is such a great philosophy for those of you just joining us. Be sure to take advantage of Montessori 101 that Susie provides for new parents to learn more about our program. We promote independence, learn from reality based situations, and start a foundation for your child to become their best self. By preparing the environment to your child’s needs and by continuing to do so throughout the year we see progress and improvements throughout the year. I can’t wait to get started. Here’s to a good year! And, again, Welcome.

Kristy
