We will be going to the Detroit Institute of Art for their Shaping Identity Tour. Through discussion and a variety of activities, students explore how people of diverse cultures use art to define, reinforce, and communicate personal, cultural, and national identity. Students explore art while learning about its historical context. Our tour starts at 9:30. We have lunch at the DIA at 11:30. We will then have a short free exploration in the afternoon. We will start the drive back around 1:30.
