Dear Parents,

We have a busy month ahead of us. The students have been working on prime factors, different types of solids, sentence analysis, function of the seed, parts of the seed, and squaring and cubing. They have also been busy creating art projects with Ms. Jackie to show case at the end of the school year!

Sign up for the mileage club began February 1st and will end on March 7. Unfortunately, there is no late sign up this year.  To make sure you don’t miss it you can sign up on line (this is highly recommended). The program kicks off April 7th and runs through May 30th. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to stay active and set goals to achieve. Every mile your child walks, runs or jogs, they receive a toe token to add to their custom key chain!

February 12th we have our Elementary ice skating trip. You should have received a permission slip in your family mail box to be returned to Ms. Kathy. We will be leaving the school at 1:15 and return around 3:10. If you are interested in skating with your child and/ or would like to drive, please sign up on I-volunteer.   We still need volunteer drivers.

Because we are closed on February 14th we will be having a card exchange for Valentine’s Day on February 13th. If your child would like to participate we ask that they bring a card for every child. There will be a list of all students’ names in your family mail box.

Ms. Kathy would like me to mention that if you have any extra or old books at home, the library is always willing to take them as a donation. These books would be a great addition to our library and an opportunity for other students to enjoy them as well.
