Happy New Year!
Welcome back to school. It seems like the time continues to fly by. I can’t believe it’s already January 2015. The coming of the New Year brings changes to our toddler community. We are sending off four of our toddlers to the primary community. We have said goodbye & good luck to Bjorn, Severen, Harper and Jack. They have made tremendous progress. It has been exciting watching them grow in their ability to make choices, concentrate, remember the sequence of steps in the more complex activities and put away their work. Their vocabularies have skyrocketed. They can express their needs and wants and follow instructions. It is a time of wonder to see their conceptual skills developing almost effortlessly (colors, counting, shape sorting, etc.) It is a constant source of joy to observe their interpersonal social skills developing and watch them make friends.
We are also happy to have new children joining our community. We welcome Adi (who started in December), as well as Beth, Hyojun, Seneca, and Alan. If you see these new faces please extend a warm welcome. We are excited to get to know them and their families.
We are also grateful for all the support you have given us this year. For those who have given us gifts, supplied cleaning supplies, brought nutritious snacks, treats for Cocofluff, helped in the classroom or on fieldtrips – Thank You! We try to express our thanks to your child for such contributions. I am sure your child must think, “You are doing this for me, for my class!” What a loving message to pass on to your child.
Sincerely,
Erin
