Special person’s day had a wonderful turnout. The children were so excited to show their special person around the classroom and school. Before our visitors arrived, the children talked about what materials they were going to show their special person. Some children were so excited that they forgot what they wanted to show!
With the colder weather coming I just wanted to remind everyone to send your child in with the appropriate winter wear. Make sure your child has a warm coat to wear. When the snow comes, if they do not have boots, snow pants, hats and mittens they may not get to play outside in the snow. They really like to play out in the snow with their classmates. It is also helpful if you label your child’s items so they do not get mixed up with someone else’s belongings. It could be helpful for your child to practice getting their snow gear on at home so they are more independent at school. We will try to talk them through as much as possible and many times the older children like to help the younger ones get ready.
Looking ahead we will start to brainstorm what we will make for the bake sale. The children will get to help to decide what to bake and will be preparing the bake goods. The money raised will go towards buying presents for children in foster care.
I would also like to thank Chloe and Audrey Chen (Aiden’s big sisters) for coming into our class and performing for us. They played several songs on their violins and the children were very excited to listen to the beautiful music.
Thanks for reading,
Rachel
