It was great to see so many families at our potluck. We had 20 families in attendance!
We have had a great start to our year. The children are settling in nicely and getting to know each other and our two new assistants, Jamie and Pat. I would like to encourage you to send your child to school in shoes that they can put on and take off on their own. Most of the children struggle with laces and they often have to wait for an adult to help them. This allows them to be more independent and less frustrated. One source for indoor shoes is Montessori Movers. You can find information for ordering at Montessorimovers.com. If you have not sent in a picture for your child’s cubby, please do so as soon as possible. It helps the children to know where each other’s cubbies are and the children enjoy looking at the pictures.
Conferences are on October 31st and November 1st. I have put conference times that are available on Ivolunteer. This is a great opportunity to talk about your child’s interests and activities in the class. Please make sure to sign up for a time.
