Hello Everyone!

I am so excited for this new school year. It has been wonderful to have the children back in the classroom and to have meaningful work out on workspaces!

As we move into this school year, I wanted to highlight a few procedures from the Elementary Handbook. 

We do celebrate birthdays in our environment. We call this the child’s walk around the sun. If you would like to arrange your child’s birthday celebration, please send me an e-mail so we can coordinate dates. We do the celebration at the end of the day at 2:45. You are encouraged to bring in a picture from each year of your child’s life and have a memory ready to share. You may share the memories or your child may. 

If your child has their extra set of clothes at school already, that is wonderful. If they do not have a spare set here yet, please be sure to send them to school with an extra set of clothing, in case of any accidents that could possibly happen in the classroom. We also ask that they have a pair of indoor shoes that can stay at school. 

When you are sending snacks and packing lunches, please remember that we do have students with nut allergies. Perhaps take some time to check the labels on the foods you send to school. This is great practice for your child to be more aware of how they can impact our community.
